Qt Exam Prep is an independent project operated by Farzam Daghighi (Daxen) in Finland. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to farzam.sadegh@gmail.com.

Information used by the app

The app stores the information needed to provide your account and study experience. This can include your email address and display name, authentication identifiers, question attempts, progress, mock-test results, question reports, support and feedback submissions, tutor sessions, tutor messages, and study settings.

Basic technical information may also be processed for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention, such as request timestamps and server error records. The app does not use this information for advertising.

Purposes and legal bases

Account and study data are processed to create and maintain your account, save your progress, provide practice and mock-test features, and deliver the AI tutor when you choose to use it. This processing is necessary to provide the service you request.

Limited technical records may be processed for the legitimate interests of keeping the service secure, diagnosing failures, and preventing misuse. These interests are balanced against the impact on users.

Cookieless visit counting is processed for the legitimate interest of understanding basic service use. Enhanced analytics is processed only with your consent.

AI tutor data

When you use the AI tutor, your answer, recent tutor messages, and relevant study context are sent to OpenAI to produce the next response. Tutor requests are configured with API storage disabled.

When you provide your own OpenAI API key, the app stores the credential through encrypted server-side storage and does not return the full key to the browser after saving it.

AI feedback supports studying only. It is not used to make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Analytics

The app uses PostHog's EU-hosted service to count page visits without cookies or persistent browser storage. This limited measurement helps understand whether the service is being used. It does not create a PostHog person profile or include your account name or email.

With your consent, enhanced analytics also collects product interactions, page exits, dead clicks, heatmaps, browser errors, and web performance measurements. These signals help identify useful features and technical problems. Session recording remains disabled, and network performance capture is disabled to avoid collecting request details. You can reject or withdraw enhanced analytics consent at any time through Analytics settings in the footer.

Service providers and international processing

Supabase provides authentication and database services. OpenAI processes requests only when an AI tutor feature is used. PostHog processes cookieless visit counts and, with consent, enhanced product analytics. Hosting and deployment infrastructure may also process limited technical request data.

Depending on provider configuration, information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. In those cases, the transfer mechanisms and safeguards described by the relevant provider apply.

Retention

Account and study records are generally retained while your account remains active so that progress and history remain available. You can permanently delete your account and stored study data from Settings. Service-provider logs may follow the provider's configured retention period.

Your rights

You can download a machine-readable copy of your account and study data or permanently delete it from Settings. Depending on the circumstances, you may also request correction, restriction of processing, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. In Finland, the supervisory authority is the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
